A series of visual arts workshops for seniors

I am very excited to announce a new initiative of mine that is starting this September to offer a series of FREE bilingual visual arts workshops for seniors in Prescott and Russell! Thanks to an important partnership with the Prescott Russell Arts Council, I was able to receive funds from the Government of Ontario to put this important project forth to offer seniors in our community. (Please note that due to funding, participation is limited to residents of Ontario).

Why should you participate

Wether you're a seasoned artist or have never created a pice of art, these workshops offer you the chance to explore, experiment, learn and have fun. But it's not just about learning—it's also about connecting with others in a warm, supportive environment. By participating, you'll get to, learn art skills all while engaging with others, and sharing your experiences,

What will the workshops be about?

Workshops will focus on 4 different mediums: acrylic painting, watercolour, soft pastels and clay sculpture. Participants can expect to learn a variety of techniques that will end with a finished masterpiece you can take home.

Locations and times:

Workshops will be taking place in 4 different physical locations is Prescott and Russell and at different times during the day and week:

By signing up, each participant commits to attending their chosen workshop(s) as there is a limit of only 12 participants per workshop and location. Participants are welcome to sign up to more than one workshop or only to those that interest them. Unfortunately, if you miss a  workshop, you will not be able to retake it. If you can no longer participate in a workshop, please let me know as soon as possible so I can open your place up to another interested individual.

Please carefully read my attendance policy when you sign up for more information.

Final Exhibition

The end of the series will result in 4 physical exhibitions of participants’ work and one online exhibition of those who participated in the virtual workshops. Participating in the ending exhibition is not mandatory, but it is encouraged as this will be a fun way to come together with other participants of the workshops, exchange, share, celebrate your creative journey and grow your community. I will be asking those participating in the virtual workshops to send me a picture via email of their work.

So that's it! I know we're going to have a BLAST together. I can't wait to meet you and share this creative journey together.
